Each stamp, each envelope has a story to tell – about their country of origin, print, edition, use or theme. And philately, our shared passion, is just as multifaceted as those stories.
Taking the initiative, you follow new releases and publications, you analyse and research what is yet to be discovered. Thanks to your own personal effort, we have been creating a great wealth of knowledge which needs to be preserved.
For this reason, Christoph Gärtner established the CG International Philatelic Promotion Award, which is aimed to promote the preservation of philatelic knowledge by supporting new publications and was first awarded in 2013. An international jury judges print media, digital media and the promotion of young talent as a whole.
The award met with resounding success and was received very well worldwide in its first years
All working groups, societies, clubs, associations, and publishers of philatelic magazines or newsletters publishing a periodical (at least once per calendar year) are entitled to participate. For further information on the conditions of participation, assessment criteria, the prizes and the membership of the international jury, please visit the CG Awards website: www.cg-award.com
Closing date for registration is 31 August 2022. The Awards Ceremony will be held at the MonacoPhil 2022 on 24 November 2022.
We are pleased that the CG Award can now take place again after the two-year break caused by the pandemic and are looking forward to your entries!
