Auction Galleries Hamburg

Schwanke auctions are a byword for sophisticated philately and numismatics in Hamburg, then as now. For more than 40 years, the “Reichenhof” in the famous Kontorhaus district, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015, has provided a worthy setting for the auctions.

Since its acquisition by Christoph Gärtner in 2016, the renowned house has been part of C.G. Collectors World. Under the name “Auction Galleries vormals Schwanke GmbH”, the former Schwanke team continues to hold its highly acclaimed auctions at its well-known venue in the Reichenhof. Together with Auktionshaus Edgar Mohrmann, it forms the C.G. Kompetenz-Zentrum for philatelists, collectors, and investors in Northern Germany.
